Curriculum

  • More than ancient teachings, yoga philosophy offers a roadmap for living with greater intention, compassion, and purpose.

Explore the roots of yoga through foundational texts, ethical principles, and timeless wisdom that continue to guide modern life. Together, we'll examine how these teachings can help us navigate challenges, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a more meaningful relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

You'll leave with more than knowledge—you'll gain practical tools for living your yoga both on and off the mat.

  • Learn to move with greater awareness, confidence, and respect for the uniqueness of every body.

Develop a deeper understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and alignment principles to support safe, sustainable movement. Rather than striving for a single "perfect" shape, you'll learn how to adapt postures to meet the needs of diverse bodies, abilities, and experiences.

This section will help you build trust in your own body while developing the skills to support others with clarity and confidence.

  • Discover practices that help you slow down, tune in, and navigate life with greater presence.

Through meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques, you'll learn how to regulate the nervous system, cultivate self-awareness, and create moments of calm in a busy world. These practices become more than teaching tools—they become lifelong companions for managing stress, building resilience, and connecting with what matters most.

As your personal practice deepens, so does your ability to guide others with authenticity and care.

  • Find your voice and learn to lead from a place of authenticity.

Teaching yoga is about more than sequencing postures—it's about creating experiences that help people feel seen, supported, and empowered. Through hands-on practice, feedback, and mentorship, you'll learn how to structure classes, communicate effectively, offer meaningful cues, and hold space for a variety of students.

Whether you plan to teach professionally or simply want to grow in confidence, this section will help you step into leadership with courage and clarity.

  • Learn how to create spaces where everyone feels welcome, valued, and supported.

At Zion Well, we believe yoga should be accessible to every body and every story. Explore trauma-aware teaching, inclusive language, accessibility, nervous system regulation, and the role yoga can play in supporting overall wellbeing.

You'll develop the awareness and skills needed to meet students with compassion, honor diverse experiences, and foster a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the yoga mat.
